Jade Nosara is a hidden sanctuary. Wake up every morning to the tropical garden, howler monkeys and exotic birds.

Dotted throughout the garden are five master poolside bungalows alongside two hidden jungle suites behind the yoga pavilion. At the main entrance lies the entertainment and shared dining space. The bungalows and suites can be set up as two twin beds or a king size bed. 

The community that Jade Nosara lies within is a ‘Blue Zone’ area where people live to be over 100 years old.

INCLUDED ACTIVITIES

The following activities are included as part of your booking;

• Mangrove SUP/Kayak Tour: The mangrove reserve is home to over 120 different species of birds and other wildlife. This is a serene and interactive way to explore this very important element to the ecosystem. 

• Catamaran Experience: Take to the Pacific Ocean onboard a catamaran and see the beauty of the Nicoya Peninsula from the water. (4 hour experience).

• Surf & Shopping Day Trip: One day during the trip we will load up the vehicles and set off north searching for waves, stopping in at Tamarindo for shopping and lunch.

• Plant A Tree: When you’re not SUP surf coaching, work closely with local charity Costas Verdes, we will learn about their reforestation work and plant a tree.

Jade Nosara is conveniently located with access walking trails through the jungle and beach to spot birds and animals. 

The small town has a selection of boutique shops and restaurants for which you are welcome to explore at your own leisure. 

With many tours based in Nosara, please ask us if there is something else you would like to arrange during your stay with us.

EXTRA INFORMATION

Nosara, located on the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica, is a paradise for nature lovers and surfers alike. The area is known for its stunning beaches, lush jungle, and thriving wildlife. Playa Guiones is where you’ll be surfing most of the time and it’s located a short walk away from Jade Nosara.

Costa Rica has two major international airports that serve as gateways to Nosara: Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) and Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO). 

1. LIR Airport is located in Liberia and is about a 2.5-hour drive away. The transfer from Liberia airport to Jade Nosara is included in your booking. 

2. SJO Airport is located in the capital city of San Jose and is about a 4-hour drive from Nosara.  Please let us know if you are travelling from San Jose and we can arrange the transfer for you however an additional charge of US$200 will be incurred.

3. There are domestic flights to Nosara’s regional airport, Nosara Airport (NOB). Sansa Airlines offers several daily flights to Nosara from SJO, which takes about 40 minutes. Please consult with Sansa Airlines for pricing and schedules.

It is highly recommended to bring your own SUP surfboard and paddle for SUP surf coaching, as it ensures the most progression and improvement with your surfing. However, we understand it may not always be possible, so we do offer rental options. For more information on rental availability and pricing, please reach out to us directly.

In Costa Rica, the local currency used is Colones. US dollars are also widely accepted, however it is advised to carry some Colones when buying goods at smaller establishments.

Whilst it is not obligatory, gratuities are welcomed within the service industry. Some restaurants and services include a 10% service charge, but most do not.  

Credit cards are widely accepted in Costa Rica, but it is wise to have cash on hand for smaller purchases and in rural areas. ATM’s are widely available and dispense local currency.

Clare took us on a number of snorkelling expeditions and worked at a very professional level, conducting a detailed briefing before each dive. Her knowledge of the reefs and the marine life was impressive and she had a very keen eye for anything hiding/camouflaged and was quick to point it out for anyone interested. I've just come back from a weekends SUP clinic and I can't praise Beau and his team highly enough. Saturday saw us surfing at a local break, followed by a post session analysis and Sunday had been planned to be an epic downwinder. Beau went above and beyond to make sure this would run smoothly.
