We packed our iSUPs and headed to Greece! A secluded little island in the Aegean Sea was our destination and we chose this spot as there is a National Marine Park that has been successfully operating for over 20 years. It’s one of the only places in the world you can still see a Mediterranean Monk Seal!
It was our hope that we would encounter the elusive Mediterranean Monk Seal on our stand up paddle boards. With only 800 individuals left in the world, this would be a rare sighting. It was incredible to see the biodiversity within the park and how well managed it is by both the government bodies and the local community who regulate fishing practices and drive eco tourism.
We experienced amazing snorkelling, diving and SUP conditions and explored uninhabited islands all via SUP. Greece is the perfect place for a SUP adventure.
